grammaticality - Relative pronoun verb agreement


In the sentence, “The dog gave me, who feeds him, a lick”, feeds does not agree with the person of the antecedent to who. I know that a verb used with a relative pronoun has the same number and person as the noun or pronoun to which the relative refers. Me is first person, yet it sounds incorrect to write, “The dog gave me, who feed him [I feed him], a lick”. What is my problem?

First floor vs ground floor, usage origin

Ground floor – First floor: In British English, the floor of a building which is level with the ground is called the ground floor. The floor above it is called the first floor, the floor above that is the second floor, and so on. In American English, the floor which is level with the ground is called the first floor, the floor above it is the second floor, and so on. To my ear, the first sounds great, and the second is painfully awkward. So which is correct, grammatically? My grandmother, who grew up in western Pennsylvania, pronounced wash and Washington with an intrusive R : “warsh” and “Warshington.” Where does the intrusive R come from in that dialect?
