word choice - What is an adjective that means a person that easily trusts others?


I'm looking for a word that could describe a person who is very gullible and easily trusts people.


My specific example is Fortunato from Edgar Allen Poe's story: The Cask of Amontillado


Edit: the character's name is Fortunato.

Ground floor – First floor: In British English, the floor of a building which is level with the ground is called the ground floor. To my ear, the first sounds great, and the second is painfully awkward. So which is correct, grammatically?
